Morava flows through Zagreb

In Zagreb, restaurant Opera for more than few months lures Croatian gourments with well-known Serbian specialities. Opera restaurant is the first Serbian restaurant in Zagreb publicly declared as such. Traditional Serbian specialities are offered on the menu of the small, but nicely decorated restaurant, that in a short time became a “must” place for Croatian jet set.

The owner, originally from Pirot, got up courage to be the first one who offers local Serbian cuisine as well as the wines from Serbian terroir. In Opera there was held the first promotion of Serbian wines from the Milijan Jelić winery. The team of the winery presented the following wines to Croatian guests: Morava 2009, Chardonnay barrique 2008, Belle Epoque 2009, Frankovka 2006, Mammoth 2007 and Millennium 2007. Guests were not delighted only with autochtonous food prepared according to the “Slow food” concept, but also white wines from Jelic winery. Which is starting exporting wines to Croatia. This will be only Serbian winery whose  wines will be available on the Croatian market.
