Over 50 jury members have tasted 4,724 samples, sent from all over Europe, in the last five months, and they chose 1,341 to be presented at this event. The condition for wine to be chosen is an excellent quality and the necessity that wine to be awarded a gold medal according to the expert jury opinion, i.e. to be assessed with the minimum of 85 points by the system 86/100.

After the expert classification, all the wines were divided into three groups: "bio and dynamica", "Italy", and " International". The Jelic wine cellar had the honor to present its wines at the extremis stage, at the central hall of the elegant Art Nouveau Kurhaus, where its place had only eleven other wine cellars. The wines Tamuz Morava 2008 and Prokupac 2007 were at the exclusive stage due to their specific, extraordinary characteristics; Morava because it represented the new, domestic, organic sort of grape which does not require chemical treatment and Prokupac which was old Serbian cultivar, existing only in our country. The organizers imagined this event so that producers and their products were protagonists of exchanging ideas, experiences and opinions with the professionals in the field of wine production and the visitors of the Festival.
